Today for our Q & A we're joined by Fabrizio Motta who is the slot product owner at Iron Dog Studio. We'd like to thank Fabrizio for finding the time to have a few words with us today. 

Q. Hi Fabrizio Would you be able to give us a brief background on Iron Dog Studio from how you started up until the present day?

A. Iron Dog Studio is actually one of the many brands included in the 1X2Network. Based out in Hove, England, our goal is to combine classic gaming concepts and modern innovative ideas to create machines that offer the best of both worlds to players. It is our passion to create new concepts that will entertain players, and our belief that in doing so, we will continue to share the fun of our creations with operators and players alike.

Q. Was there always a long term plan at Iron Dog Studio to acquire the Megaways™ license? Or with the continued rise of the Megaways™ mechanic was it just a natural progression in your slot development?

A. We were discussing this for a while, but we wanted to be able to create something new. We did not want to copy what was already out there. Something with the right characteristics to stand out from the crowded list of Megaways™ replicas. For this reason, we preferred to take our time with the project, we wanted to make sure the game felt balanced.  We can say it has paid off so far.

Q. Your first Megaways™ title Pirate Kingdom Megaways™ has not long been released, what has the initial feedback been like that you have received?

A. There was a lot of enthusiasm, right from the beginning, it was well received with both operators and players. The game also had a nice retention, even when new Megaways™ slots were released by Blueprint late December.

Q. What does the team at Iron Dog Studio believe makes a top Megaways™ Slot when it comes to grabbing the attention of players?

A. On the very first day of release, a few live streamers managed a couple of big wins, showing the game can be very exciting and provide the type of gameplay entertainment we wanted. This is very important to us, as we believe providing entertainment is the key feature each game should have.

Q. We always love to see developers being creative with the Megaways™ license, and in Pirate Kingdom Megaways™ the locking of a reel to land a guaranteed 7 symbols on every remaining spin during the bonus was a stand out part of the game for us. Do you plan to add more unique features to your Megaways™ titles in the future?

A. We have set ourselves the challenge to bring something new to the market, with every Megaways title, and we are excited for the future. We see Pirate Kingdom as just the beginning.

Q. To finish off have you got anything you can let us know about future Megaways™ releases?

A. The next game will bring the players to the magic world of Jack and the beanstalk. Players will try to reach the giant’s castle to win big prizes with the aid of some magic. The game will still offer the much loved locked reel mechanism, with some more addition to the math.
